Science Fiction has helped shaped our world.
I use Twitter’s Favorite function to bookmark tweets that I want to review later. It’s very handy, except for one thing: all Favorite tweets are public. There are many tweets that I’d like to save but I don’t necessarily want as part of my public profile.
I want a Save tweet function that is private. Twitter, please add Save tweet!
BTW, the Favorites you mark (using the star icon) can be accessed via RSS. Just put this address in your browser address bar or RSS reader:
http://twitter.com/favorites/TWITTER_USERNAME.rss
Replace TWITTER_USERNAME with your twitter username.
This week I started a new job at Four51 as Product Director of FanTools. FanTools is a social marketing application, available as a monthly subscription service, that helps businesses build fans, create offers and other promotions, and distribute them over various social media like Facebook and Twitter. Social media is a massively growing phenomenon that is changing the nature of marketing and business promotion. I’m thrilled to be working on a leading-edge product that helps businesses tackle the complexity of online and social marketing.
We have big plans for FanTools and I’m proud to be working with the great team at Four51. Follow me on Facebook and Twitter to keep up with my work.
At 3:00 AM I heard a thump followed by shouting. Charlie had fallen out of bed and was crying. I went into his room, flipped on his light and untangled him from his comforter. “Owww, it really hurts!” he exclaimed as he touched his mouth and cried louder. His upper lip was bloody and had a good gash on the outside. It was already swelled up. It looked like it really hurt, the poor guy.
After we calmed him down, cleaned him up and got him a Popsicle, I told Charlie that mixed in with his well deserved crying he had said something profound. Between sobs he had exclaimed with exasperation, “It hurts, it’s not fair!”
Hopefully this is a life lesson for Charlie because it was for me. Sometimes life throws you out of bed, smacks you in the face and splits your lip without cause. And it hurts. Yes, Charlie, it certainly is not fair.
Here are my favorite albums of the year. Enjoy!
