Barak Obama gave an important speech today on race, partially in reaction to recent criticism of remarks made by his pastor. But the speech was more than an answer to critics. I have a feeling he had this speech in the works for a long time and was waiting for the right situation in the campaign when the race card was being played. It is a powerful speech. Many commentators are saying it is a great speech, even a historic speech. Time will tell. His campaign, even if he doesn’t win, and I hope he does, is doing this country a great service.
Obama is a gifted orator. His skills are abundant, especially in comparison to our current President. I wonder if Hillary is planning a gender speech? The thought of HRC trying to match Obama gives me the creeps — there is no way she could pull it off. He is in a class by himself.
